Privacy Policy

Star Prep Tutors (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and the privacy of the students we serve. This policy describes what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, program of interest, and message.
• Checkout: purchaser name, email, phone number, and billing details, plus the student's name and grade.
• School partner sign-up pages: parent or guardian name, email, phone, the student's name and grade, the program of interest, and any answers to questions on that school's form.
• Your browser: your cart contents are stored only in your own browser until you check out. Staff who sign in to our portal receive a session cookie. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children's privacy

We serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade. We collect information about students from their parents or guardians (or from adult students), not directly from children under 13. Our sign-up forms ask the person submitting to confirm they are the student's parent or guardian or an adult student. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Parents and guardians may ask to review, correct, or delete their child's information at any time by emailing info@starpreptutors.com.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, process enrollments, match students with instructors, schedule sessions, and follow up on school partnership sign-ups. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use student information for advertising.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed to provide our services:

• Stripe, for payments. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure form and never reach our servers (Stripe Privacy Policy).
• Calendly, for scheduling lessons.
• Resend, to deliver email notifications.
• YouTube, for embedded videos, which load only when you press play.
• Our hosting and database providers, which store data on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete it. We protect information with industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted staff access.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time by emailing info@starpreptutors.com.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
